This week has been nothing but a breathless game of catch-up after being out of town over the weekend. Looking at the responses to my fall contest (or rather, the lack of responses!), I realize that the task I set was much too hard. The one person who did bravely venture a guess will get some sort of special recognition in the form of merchandise, but it's not really fair to have a contest with just one entry.
For that reason, I've decided to change the requirement for entering the contest, making it something that everyone can take a stab at with very little investment of time. Just answer the question, "what perfume (of any type) are you curious to see reviewed?" and you'll be entered in the drawing for a 30 ml spray of the Olympic Orchids fragrance of your choice, in the new packaging. Good luck!
The drawing will be held on Sunday, October 20.
[Fall-blooming passion flower photo is mine]
maybe the classical Myrrh or Iris Silver Mist by Serge Lutens could provide an interesting analysis.
ReplyDeleteLa Myrrhe I mean.
DeleteI suggest something from La Via del Profumo. If I'd choose, I'd pick Gypsy Queen or Lake flower. You can choose to include me or not. Thanks for the recognition prize! x)
ReplyDeletePuredistance Black. I am interested in perceptions of this scent, without knowing the notes. Thanks for the draw!
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear your analysis/review of Lorelei by Envoyage perfumes.Thank you
ReplyDeleteHi Ellen,
ReplyDeleteNo need to enter me in the drawing. I still feel a little awkward about so many winnings lately, but I would like a review of Vero Profumo Rubj or Mito, the extrait or EDP versions. These are so pricey that I really need a good review from someone whose opinion I trust and usually agree with. I do have a little Mito EDP that I won but am having a hard time deciding how I feel about it.

I would love to hear what do you think of entire concept of http://www.olfactivestudio.com/. The way they make perfumes (inspired by photos) and how do perfumes smell. :)
ReplyDeleteI rarely see anything by Santa Maria Novella reviewed and would love to see this line covered. Have to second the request for reviews of La Via del Profumo.
ReplyDeleteAlso interested in exploration/reviews by major notes and reviews of indie lines.
Thanks for the draw opportunity.

Juniper Ridge really intrigues me. They wildcraft and recreate olfactorily the actual areas where they hang out and camp, or hike. I love their white sage incense. So any incense or cologne review of their work would be great. Olympic Orchids and Juniper Ridge have some similarities, especially when it comes to recreating/interpreting particular places in nature.
ReplyDeleteCoty's 'Les Muses'. I can't for the life of me figure out what's in it, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteMy pick would be vintage Asja by Fendi! Thank you very much! Wish you all the best!
ReplyDeleteI would be curious to see another opinion on Tom Ford's Amber Absolute, especially compared to other ambers. It is one of the ambers that I have fallen for, but it is not easy to come across any more.
